If you character custom in PSO2 or Genesis, it would be transferable to the other game. PSO2 will be remastered to the same level as Genesis. Speaking of which heres the music that was in the trailer Now when it said 1000 years in the future im actually wondering what ever happened to the Oracle Fleet after the events of PSO2? think they might still be around? or was it disbanded/decomissioned.?

The character creation kinda reminds me of the one from Code Vein and im happy to hear that PSO2 is getting a graphics remaster (tbh the graphics are kinda old.) Im curious to see how they gonna pull of the character compatibility between PSO2 and Genesis especially with the items weapons and such you currently have I won't be surprised if they continue to scale the existing PSO2 engine, Unity and Unreal are not exactly new either, but old engines have seen over 15 years plus of development. However, by using inhouse engines, they don't have to share licensing revenue to the game engine creator, as both Unreal and Unity engines require. For example, PSO2 uses an enhanced version of the engine used for PSU, and no coincidence they share similar bugs, like avatars taking a long time to update their skins on crowded lobbies. These games carried over existing accounts over to the remastered game.Īs for the game engine, Japanese game developers are notorious for using inhouse engines, something that really hampered their games industry compared to other countries. There has been graphics remasters of massive online games in the past, including EVE Online, Final Fantasy XIV, and World of Tanks. However, we had the chance to go hands on with the MMO in the recent beta test, with Steven breaking down the good and the bad in SEGA's MMO.I was watching the Xbox Game Showcase when i saw it i was thinking it was PSO3 but i am glad to hear we aren't gonna lose our charactersĪs for the game engine could they be using the new unreal engine for new genesis.? Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis is coming June 2021, though the exact date has yet to be announced. The download from the main PSO2 site clocks in at around 2.7GB, so just be aware in case you're low on disk space.

The benchmark itself takes a pass with the character you created as well, putting your character in the thick of the benchmark test. The character creation tool comes with a benchmark as well, giving players a glimpse into how the MMO will run on their rigs. Though, keep in mind, existing characters from Phantasy Star Online 2 are also transferrable to the New Genesis version, so you don't have to create a new character if you're planning on keeping with your existing one.

From there, you'll be able to take that character data and export it to import into the final launch version of PSO2NGS when it launches. The tool, which is available for download from the Phantasy Star Online 2 website, incldues a character creator for players to premake their new characters ahead of the NGS launch in June.
